Elevation Models > Point Cloud

The outcome of converting all the laser measurements into a local coordinate system is referred to as raw data or a point cloud. The elevation information is in the form of a full-resolution point cloud. Faulty measurements were already eliminated.
The raw data can be output in different ways (e.g. scan-oriented or sorted according to x/y coordinate). The data can be converted from the binary format into any ASCII format. What is more, it is possible to classify the point cloud according to terrain points and object/vegetation points. Such data is generally used in rerouting power lines.
